I Don’t Need You
Sam Franze has been singing country music for many years and has done many weddings, shows and clubs, he has a very unique style and many think he sounds like an Australian Elvis, crossed with Dean Martin, with his smooth and deep tones. Sam also has produced several albums, recording in Adam’s music studio in Newcastle, NSW, it makes production of great country music even easier for the country music duo.
Country Music Duo Newcastle
When Adam and Sam started to sing and gig together a few short years ago, they realized there wasn’t many live country duo bands in Newcastle who were staying true to the Newcastle / Hunter Valley audiences.
And while many country artists and bands in Newcastle headed off to Tamworth, Nashville, Central Coast, Sydney and other major cities around Australia to try and make a name for themselves, Adam and Sam stayed true to country music right here in Newcastle.
They found that staying to true to Novocastrians with country music, that surrounding areas such as Nelson’s Bay, Warners Bay, Toronto, Belmont, Swansea and many other beautiful seaside areas loved a great live country music show on a lazy Sunday afternoon, and that’s how the Blue Water Cowboys in Newcastle & Hunter Valley was formed.
We’re now getting very busy with house concert duo shows, where we bring the “Country Music & Classics” to your lounge room, rumpus room or backyard for a bbq.
How Does a Typical House Concert Work?
House concerts work on the premise there is a host (generally someones lounge room, rumpus room or back yard) and they do the invites to their country music loving friends, generally a minimum group of 20 to 30 is required to make the evening a success.
As the host of the house concert, you will be inviting all your guests and making sure (with follow up calls the day before) that they are definitely going to be there to enjoy the show and generously reward the entertainers after the show (both a hearty pledge and also CD sales are the norm from each person).
The shows are typically 1 hour and are a concert based format…
– 60 minutes guest arrival with drinks and nibbles (provided by host or BYO)
– 60 minute concert, where arranged row seating (just like a concert) is organized
– After the concert, the host passes around a vessel to ALL the audience and asks them to support us generously for our time and talents
– CD Sales and meet n greets after the official tasks above have been carried out
Seniors Country Music, Easy Listening & Rock n Roll Shows Newcastle
Not only are the Blue Water Cowboys doing live entertainment in Newcastle / Hunter Valley’s top venues on weekends, but they’ve also carved out a very nice niche for seniors music shows during weekdays.
Adam has created a specials seniors music program called “Adopt-a-Singer” where local senior citizens, nursing homes, day care centres, probus / rotary / seniors clubs and retirement villages go to morning tea shows at Newcastle bowling clubs, leauges and RSL clubs, and Adam and Sam both perform at these shows with a growing demand.
They also perform in nursing homes, retirement villages, day care centres, respite and young onset dementia centres, as well as facilities for the disabled all over Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.
Local Newcastle / Hunter Valley businesses and philanthropic groups and individuals sponsor (adopt) shows which Adam and Sam then donate back to local aged care facilities in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, this service has been a long time coming with many of the aged care music volunteers retiring and no professional singers to replace them.
So without straying from their hometown of Newcastle, they can truly say, they are the leaders in seniors entertainment and country music in and around the Newcastle and Hunter Valley and doing this full time as their professional career and LOVING it!
